FOTD – Faux Freckles Look

Mascarateer Faux Freckles Face of the Day
Just a quick post today for a look a did before this horrid winter settled in.  It felt like the last sunny warm day for a long time so I decided to go for a cute summery look for a lolita-fashion event.  When I was younger, my face was covered with freckles but over the years they’ve faded which is a shame because it wasn’t until later in life where I really started to love my freckles!  There’s been a bit of a trend these days with drawing freckles on which I think is great!

I kept the look pretty simple, the base is my trusty companion Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream and my new favourite Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Ethereal Light.  The freckles were created using my Lorac Mega Pro Palette, I alternated between two shades (Brown and Stone) and I dotted them on my face using some pointed Q-Tips that I bought from Daiso which has proven to be the best technique in recreating my old freckles.

The poorly-placed false lashes are by TONYMOLY and I was actually pretty surprised with how pretty they turned out!  I’m also really loving this lip colour which is my CANMAKE Stay-On Balm Rouge in #6 Sweet Clematis, I always forget to reach for this product and as a result, it wows me every time because it’s just such a nice opaque creamy balm product.

My earrings are also by Peppermint Fox, I love these cute little acorn earrings!

Here’s one last shot that shows off the freckles a little better.  What do you think, are they believable?
